Life is Short

It is good to think about this occasionally, because we should not waste any of the time God has given us on earth. David asked God how long he would live, but he didn’t get an answer, and neither will we. There is a time appointed for each of us to leave this earth, and only God knows when it is. We should live every day as though it is our last—make wise choices, walk in love, be obedient to God, and bear good fruit. You may have many more days left to live, but you might not, and it would be a shame to waste the last one you have. Don’t waste one more day being angry, jealous, or disobedient, or feeling anything else that steals time from you and does no good at all. Make your time count so you don’t end up regretting wasted years. Psalm 39:4-5 (NIV)
